Barcelona metro hours from Monday to Thursday and holidays

From Monday to Thursday and holidays, such as New Year's Day (1 January), Pâques Monday, Sant Joan (24 May) or 11 September for Catalonia's national day, the Barcelona metro timetable is the same every day.
The metro starts running at 5 a.m. from one of the line's terminals until midnight.

Barcelona metro schedule Fridays and holiday eves

On Fridays and the eve of public holidays, Barcelona metro operates from 5am until 2am the next day.

Barcelona metro saturday times

On Saturdays, the Barcelona metro opens at 5am and remains in service until Sunday night at midnight.
The metro runs non-stop all night from Saturday night to Sunday.

Barcelona Sundays hours

On Sundays, the metro continues its uninterrupted service from Saturday night to Sunday, closing at midnight on Sunday night.

19 August (Fiesta Mayor de Gràcia)

On the occasion of the festivities in the Gracia district, the Barcelona metro service starts at 5 a.m. and remains uninterrupted all night.

24 December

On Christmas Eve, 24 December, the Barcelona metro timetable runs from 5am to 11pm.

Montjuic funicular hours

- From 28/03/2022 to 30/10/2022 the Montjuic funicular is open from 7:30 am to 10 pm from Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 10pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
- From 31/10/2022 to 26/03/2023, the funicular's schedule is from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 8pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Barcelona Montjuic cable car timetable

The timetable of the Barcelona Montjuic cable car changes according to the season ; it is open all year long.
- From January to February the cable car is open from 10am to 6pm ;
- From March to May the Montjuic cable car operates from 10am to 7pm ;
- From June to September the cable car runs from 10am to 9pm ;
- In October, the Montjuic cable car operates from 10am to 7pm ;
- During November and December, the cable car is in operation from 10am to 6pm.

Night bus (Nitbus)


At the end of the Barcelona metro service - 2 a.m. on Fridays and the eve of public holidays and midnight from Monday to Thursday as well as on Sundays and public holidays - you can continue your journey by public transport in Barcelona thanks to Nitbus. All the lines of the Nitbus network, with the exception of the N0, pass through Plaça Catalunya.
Between Barcelona and its first metropolitan area, the night bus network is made up of 17 lines that serve the municipalities of :

- From Monday to Friday :
- From 7 am to 9 pm, a bus leaves Frances Macià every 7-8 minutes ;
- From 21:00 to 22:00 a bus leaves every 10 minutes (21:00, 21:10, 21:20, 21:30, 21:40, 21:50, 22:00)
- Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays :
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the XPRESbus X1 is not in operation.
Bus XPRESbus X1 Glòries - Francesc Macià hours
- From Monday to Friday :
- From 7 am to 9 pm, a bus runs from Mercat dels Encants every 7-8 minutes ;
- From 21:00 to 22:00 a bus runs every 10 minutes (21:05, 21:15, 21:25, 21:35, 21:45, 22:00).
- Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays :
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the XPRESbus X1 is not in operation.
