Starting the Barcelona Rambla walk from Plaça Catalunya towards the oldest port of Barcelona, the first stop will be the "Fountain of Canaletes".

In addintion to being well known as a reunification place to celebrate the victories of the Barça, the fountain of Canaletes (Font de les Canaletes in Catalan) is famous for the superstition that says that those who drink its water will return to Barcelone.

2 - La Boqueria

Continuing our walk on the Rambla, we will find on our right La Boqueria market.

Located in the heart of the Barcelona Ramblas avenue, La Boqueria is without doubt the most popular and busiest market of Barcelona ; is an enchanting display of colours and good smells where fresh fruits and vegetables punctuate the rhythm of the daily back and forth.

3 - Joan Miró mosaic

To get to the Gran teatre del Liceu from our stop at La Boqueria, we'll have to pass over the beautiful coloured and unmistakable Joan Miro mosaic.

Designed on the floor of the Ramblas, the work of Joan Miro, called Pla de l'Os symbolises the cosmos and the sea.

4 - Gran teatre del Liceu

leaving the Joan Miro mosaic behind us, while continuing our visit going down Las Ramblas towards the sea, we'll find El Gran teatre del Liceu.

Considered to be one of the world's great opera houses, El Gran Theatre del Liceu is at the same time the most prestigious and oldest Barcelona's theatre.

Resulting from a former convent reconversion project, the Barcelona's Plaza Real (Royale place) , which is situated on our left while continuing going down the Ramblas toward the harbour.

Mainly composed of bars and restaurants, where fake a break in the shade halfway between Plaça Catalunya and the old Port, the plaça Real is the only place with arcades in Barcelona.

6 - Palau Guell

Before to cross the last metters leading to the Columbus watchtower that marks the end of the Ramblas, we have to turn right in the street "Nou de la Rambla" to discover one of the most beautiful works of Antoni Gaudi, the Palau Gell.

Built for the rich industrialist Eusebi Güell, who had lived there for a few years befor to go to the parc Guell, the Palais Güell contains architectural treasures not to be missed.
