R1 train line, which crosses Barcelona to connect Molins de Rei and Maçanet de la Selva, runs along the north coast from Sant Adrià de Besòs to Malgrat de Mar, passing through Mataró, Calella or Blanes, among others.

R3 train line, the northern Rodalies's network line, runs from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat to Latour-de-Carol - Enveitg, passing through the municipalities of Barcelona, Centelles, Vic, Ripoll and Puigcerdà, among others.

The Renfe R4 train line crosses Barcelona at the Sants, Plaça Catalunya, Arc de Triomf and Sagrera stations, connecting 28 municipalities that stretch from Sant Vicenç de Calders to Manresa.

Via Manresa, passing through the municipalities of Sant Vicenç de Calders, Terrassa or Sabadell, the R12 line serves 39 stations to connect the cities of Lerida and Hospitalet de Llobregat, through Barcelona.

With 39 municipalities served between L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Porbou, the RG1 train line passes through the towns of Mataro, Calella, Blanes, Girona and Massanes, among others, before reaching France.
